Dinner with DeHeem
This work was the result of a project to breath new life into an old table. The original table was destined for landfill, it had lost it's glass cover and the wooden table top was water damaged. A new circular top was cut from marine grade ply and the painting on this new surface was inspired by the work of DeHeem. Imagery from his work has been integrated with painted studies of fruits and vegetables from the local market at Rapid Creek. A new glass top and a re-spray of the metal base were the final touches.
